What this site is

tupacworld.com is an independent tribute site devoted to the work of Tupac Shakur: a listening guide written by an enthusiast. It has no connection with the estate (Amaru Entertainment), with the labels that exploit the catalogue, or with any official structure.

Out of respect for copyright, no audio excerpts are hosted on this site. Record covers and the short lyric quotations that appear in articles are used under the right of quotation (see below), to an extent justified by the analysis they illustrate. No press photographs of the artist are used.

How the site is funded

There is no advertising, no sponsored content, no paid articles. Some articles end with a "where to go from here" box pointing to retailers (records, books, listening gear). Today these are plain service links, with no commission. If a partner program is ever activated, the links concerned will carry the rel="sponsored" attribute and this page will be updated; any commission would never change your price.

The rules we hold ourselves to

A link always follows a recommendation argued in the article, never the other way round. One box per page at most. No recommendation is dictated by a commission: we recommend first, and only then check whether a link exists.

Quotations and images

The analyses paraphrase first; where a lyric quotation does appear, it has been inserted by the site's editor under the right of quotation (art. 25 of the Swiss Copyright Act: commentary, reference or demonstration, to an extent justified by the purpose, always marked as a quotation and sourced, title and album indicated).

The photographs come from Wikimedia Commons, under free licenses verified file by file (public domain, CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA). Full credits below.

The album and single covers reproduced in the listening guides are protected works, property of their respective labels and designers. Their reproduction relies on the right of quotation (art. 25 of the Swiss Copyright Act): each cover appears only in the article that reviews the record in question, at low resolution, for identification and critical purposes.
